Author of Needs Assessment Report (while employee of Szostak Design) for the Town of Oak Island on the feasibility of building and operating a new recreation center. Orchestrated and lectured at numerous well-attended public meetings; through extensive research and preliminary designs, authored 200 page Needs Assessment Report & Recommendation. Project Designer of proposed new 54,000 sf, $12 million recreation center to include an aquatics center with 6-lane, 25 meter pool, recreation pool, and warm water therapy pool, gymnasium with suspended walking track, climbing wall, fitness/weights center, aerobics/dance rooms, classrooms, a large multi-purpose conference center, locker rooms, and administrative spaces.
